JOSEPH M. NOONE Partner
Joseph M. Noone is a Partner at Avery Dooley Post & Avery and focuses his practice on the representation of individuals and businesses engaged in civil litigation in both the state and federal court systems. Mr. Noone is a graduate of The College of Holy Cross (BA, 1988) and Suffolk University Law School (JD, 1991). He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, United States District Court of Massachusetts and the First Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Noone specializes in legal matters concerning insurance defense litigation and coverage matters, products liability, construction litigation, property and fire damage claims, employment and personal injury. He also represents individuals and lending institutions in real estate matters.
Mr. Noone has successfully litigated numerous matters in both state and federal Court. He prides himself on his prompt, responsive approach to his client needs, building long term relationships with his clients, and inherent ability to negotiate and solve complex legal problems.
Prior to his career at Avery, Dooley, Post & Avery, Mr. Noone was assistant counsel at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, where he gained valuable experience managing bad faith litigation, and acted as coverage counsel to the home office claims department.
Mr. Noone belongs to the American Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, Middlesex Bar Association, Massachusetts Defense Attorneys Association, Defense Research Institute, Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts and the Cambridge-Arlington-Belmont Bar Association.
Mr. Noone is an active member of the community, particularly in Belmont, Massachusetts, where he has lived most of his life. He has served on several Boards, including the Belmont Planning Board, Town Meeting Member and acted as the Chair of several committees. He is also active in coaching youth sports.
Mr. Noone lives in Belmont, Massachusetts with his wife Caroline and children Catherine and Suzanne.
