ROBERT FEDDER

Mr. Fedder received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University in 1991. He attended the Washington and Lee University School of Law where he was a merit scholarship recipient. After graduating from law school in 1996, Mr. Fedder served as law clerk to the Honorable John A. MacKenzie, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Mr. Fedder is a member of the North Carolina and Virginia Bars and in the past has worked with a number of the region’s most well-established law firms. Since his time as a law clerk within the federal court system, Mr. Fedder has been involved in numerous matters at all levels of the federal judicial system. This comprises the bulk of Mr. Fedder’s practice and is an area of concentration within his legal career. He has counseled numerous clients in the areas of employment litigation, administrative grievances, workplace discrimination and all aspects of workers’ rights. Mr. Fedder has also worked with numerous individuals within law enforcement, including employees holding positions of public trust (security clearance positions). Mr. Fedder has served as Of Counsel to Avery Dooley Post & Avery, LLP since 2005.

Mr. Fedder also handles a select number of medical negligence cases and matters involving catastrophic injuries. Mr. Fedder is an experienced trial attorney and has published several articles on matters such as evidence at trial, the requirements for scientific testimony and litigating federal cases.
