George W. Noone
Senior General Partner
George Noone is a graduate of Boston College (B.S. 1961) and Suffolk University Law School (J.D., 1967). Mr. Noone has been associated with Avery Dooley Post & Avery for nearly forty years, first as a Trial Attorney (1967-1975), and then as Managing General Partner (1975-2005). He continues to serve the firm, and its clients, in the capacity of Senior General Partner. Mr. Noone also served as a Special District Attorney in Massachusetts and a clinical police instructor in criminal law at the North Shore Community College of Massachusetts.
He is admitted to practice before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court (1967) and the United States District Court for Massachusetts (1968). He is active in the American Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association. Mr. Noone is also a member of the Defense Research & Trial Lawyers Institute, the American Judicature Society, the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, and the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association.
